It’s taken us a month to write our review, in part because I want to do it justice and also I think I’ve been holding onto it so it’s still not quite completely over! We couldn’t be happier with our decision to have our wedding at Dovecote. Matt, Mel and the team were helpful and didn’t pressure us to book, and when we did, they answered every question and gave us great advice the whole way through. We chose the BBQ platter dinner which went down incredibly well, giving the more informal feel we wanted, and the tasting was an event in itself! We got lots of comments about how good the food was and there was plenty of it. The barn is absolutely stunning and a perfect ceremony venue, and the tipi made the evening extra special, especially as we were able to make use of the fire pits thanks to the weather! But as great as the venue is, the team are what makes this place stand out. The day before the wedding we (and several helpers!!) arrived to set up at the tipi and were welcomed by the whole team (Tom, Lauren, CeCe - thank you!), who were all so friendly and ready to help. As soon as we made a suggestion or request, it was as good as done. On the day, nothing was too much trouble, the team went above and beyond and were there whenever needed, but never intrusive or pushing us to do things a certain way, it was all about what we wanted. Going the extra mile to fetch my trainers from our car so I could dance the night away and dropping us back to our bnb when we missed our taxi, we will never forget your kindness, alongside perfect professionalism. The second-best decision we made after marrying each other, was choosing Dovecote as our venue. We are so grateful and have the fondest memories, thank you.
